SKIN AGING

During the years the skin undergoes changes in structure that lead to a loss of function and create the skin of elderly. This process of cutaneous aging is multifactorial and is triggered by both intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic aging is mainly due to the genetic background of an individual. Extrinsic aging is multifactorial : tobacco, sun radiation, nutrition, stress, lack of sleep, pollution, drug intake, alcohol, etc. The major change that occurs with intrinsic and extrinsic aging is that the skin becomes wrinkled, yellow, lax, dry and leathery.

Up to 25 years

The skin is smooth, elastic and bright. The face contour is well defined.

From 25 to 35 years

First wrinkles on eye contour and forehead appear.

From 35 to 50 years

Wrinkles on the forehead and eye contour lines increase.

Over 50 years

Wrinkles becomes widespread. The face is less to less defined. The skin is opaque with dark spots.

It is therefore advisable to use a moisturizing anti-ageing cream daily from the age of 30.

The skin is a very important element of our body, it is up to us to take care of it, whatever our age.
